Who is BOB's Jobs? We are an affiliate of the discussion board known as BOB: BusinessObjects Board. This board is run as a private resource for our members, and is not related to, endorsed by, or affiliated with Business Objects SA in any way. Back to top

Why was BOB's Jobs started? BOB does not allow individual posters to post advertising. Posting open job positions is considered advertising and therefore is not allowed. Yet there seems to be a desire to have access to a job posting site that is focused on BI / BusinessObjects related positions. Back to top

What services do you offer? We plan to roll out different services over the course of the next few months. We will provide a process for individuals to post an online resume. We will provide a method for companies or agencies to post a job opening. We are going to offer a directory where recruiting agencies can be listed for an annual fee. We will offer the ability for companies or agencies to search our resume database. Back to top

Tell me more about each service please Posting Resumes We will offer each member of BOB's Jobs the ability to post their online resume. Your resume information will be kept completely private until you decide to make it public. Making your resume "public" simply means that it will be searchable, it does not mean that casual users can browse our resume database and see your information. Even after making your resume public there are controls that allow you to specify exactly what is or is not displayed. You will be able to say whether you want to be contacted openly (directly via your email address) or via a blind box that conceals your identity until you decide to reveal it. This service is free to all registered members. The ability to make your resume "public" will be released later this year. Posting Job Openings Companies or agencies will be able to post details about a job opening. These job openings will be publicly viewable to anyone that visits our site. You will not have to be a registered member of BOB's Jobs in order to view these listings. Fees are paid in advance for a minimum 5-week listing and are non-refundable. We can (at your request) remove your listing should you fill it before your posting expires. Listings may be extended on a week-to-week basis if they are not filled during your initial schedule. Agency Directory If you work for or own a recruiting agency then you have the opportunity to have your contact information listed in our directory. This listing will not include specific job postings. Participation does qualify you for discounts when you do have a specific position to post. Access to our resume database is not included in this service. Fees are paid a year in advance and are non-refundable. Exception: should this site cease operations we will refund your directory listing fees on a prorated basis. Resume Database Search Companies or agencies can search our resume database based on specific Business Objects criteria. They will then be able to contact the resume owners via their email address (open) or blind box (concealed). The individual user determines the contact method. This service will not be available until we reach a certain level of searchable resumes. That level has not been determined at this time. Back to top

Fees

How much does it cost? It depends on which service you are asking about. There is no charge for individual resume posting. There is no limit to the number of times you may update your resume, or the number of times your resume can be viewed. Our pricing for job postings will be very competitive with other dedicated job posting sites. Please see our rates page for full details. We are not going to offer a resume database search option until we have reached a minimum number of searchable resumes. Pricing will be determined when the service is released. Back to top

What are my payment options? We have a variety of payment options available. We accept Discover, Visa, and Mastercard directly or we can use PayPal. We will also accept company checks. All payments are to be made in US Dollars. Back to top

Who is "Moments of Light"? Moments of Light is the web design / digital services company that manages this site. Payments via credit card or check will be made to this company and not to BOB's Jobs. Back to top

Privacy

How will you protect my privacy? Simple: until you flip the switch, you are invisible on this board even if you are currently an active member on BOB. You must "opt-in" to have your information displayed on our member listing, you must enter and publish your resume before you can be contacted by a company or agency with an open position. Your email address is private by default... again you must "opt-in" to make your email address public information. Back to top

What about my resume information? A resume by definition has to contain personal and private information. We take all appropriate measures to secure our server from outside access. When you post a resume it is hidden until you elect to make it available in our resume database. Individual contact information can be hidden even on a published resume. We will never ask for your social security number (SSN) or credit card information. Nobody from BOB's Jobs should ever ask for that information, and we encourage you to forward any emails requesting such information to our immediate attention. Your SSN or credit card is not required to post a resume on this service. Back to top
